Two tries each for Kieran Eddy and Rory Watson helped GHA to a 32-12 win over Haddington in Premiership Two.

It took the southsider’s just four minutes to open their account at Braidholm on Saturday with Andrew Rushforth going over in the corner. The home side attacked down the blindside from a scrum and somehow found an overlap to allow the winger to cross the whitewash.

The visitors came back into the game and began to put a few phases together; until bad luck struck, with three players forced to leave the pitch in the first half through injury. GHA continued to apply pressure but did not increase it’s lead until just before the interval when Watson latched on to a Gareth McLure kick ahead. Martin Dunn converted to give the home side a 12-0 half time lead.

Two Eddy tries within 10 minutes of the restart put the game beyond any doubt despite tries from Haddington’s Greg Dykes and Will Oldham. With the last move of the game Watson scored his second to complete a win which will go some way to making up for last week’s defeat in Gala.
