GHA will look to claim back to back wins in the National League as they face Hillhead/Jordanhill at Braidholm on Saturday.

The Southsiders got their first win of the campaign last weekend as they defeated Biggar 34-15 at Hartree Mill.

The bonus point win lifted them off the bottom of the National League with six points from four games so far this season.

GHA Captain Andy Henderson is expecting another tough encounter against Hillhead/
Jordanhill.

He said: “Just looking at their results they have had a tough start and played some of the better teams in the league.

“They will have taken a lot of encouragement coming so close to beating Watsonians.

“They have been competitive against the best teams in the league so they will be very tough.

“We played them in the Cup last season so we will know some of their players but we need to
improve if we are going to get a win.”

GHA will be looking for their first home win of the new season after suffering heavy defeats
against Selkirk and Stewart’s Melville at Braidholm.

Meanwhile Hillhead/Jordanhill will be aiming for their first win of the season after a narrow 27-26 defeat against league leaders Watsonians last time out.

Both sides met in the RBS West Regional Cup last season with GHA coming out on top 33-23 win at home.

GHA Captain Andy Henderson feels the team are eager to claim their first home win and
doesn’t believe last season’s meeting will have any relevance this weekend.

He said: “I don’t think last season’s win against Hillhead/Jordanhill will be too relevant to be
honest.

“A lot of teams have changed so I don’t think last season will be too relevant.

“I think it is about starting as well as we can and hopefully we can carry on what we did last  week against Biggar.

“I think Hillhead’s start has been a particular tough one and if anything it will probably make
them hungrier to get a win.

“Looking from our point of view we are desperate to get our first home win this season and
we know it is going to be extremely tough.

Kick Off at Braidholm is 3pm.
