If this sounds like you we want to hear from you! We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and talented Bar & Events Manager for one of Scotlands premier rugby clubs.
You will set the tone and cultivate a convivial atmosphere in both our bar and function suite. You will support numerous outdoor events including the Giffnock Beer Festival, the Southsides biggest fireworks display, and various Rugby games and Sports tournaments.
You will also be a creative individual and have a flair for event development and promotion, with responsibility for creation and marketing of new, club member focussed,?? events throughout the year. A performance bonus forms part of the package, and means additional income is well within your control.
You will be responsible for all aspects of the bar including recruitment, stock takes, staff rotas, financial reconciliation, Health & Safety, obtain and renew relevant licenses and permits and ensure compliance with the conditions of the premises licence. Ideally you will hold your own Award for Personal Holders License (APLH) and have experience in managing busy functions and events.
Running the bar profitably is an important requirement, so negotiating with the breweries and sponsors is also key to this role. You will be expected to represent the club in a professional, positive, and friendly manner.
This is a full time position, and will involve shift work including evenings and weekends.
