GHA include no fewer than four newcomers in a revamped pack at Braidholm on
Saturday for the opening game of the Premier Two season.

Among the quartet on debut against Jed-Forest is Adam Barnett, the Scotland under-
17 international last season who has come up through the GHA youth system. It
is expected that he will be joined in the second row by Simon Shearer, who has
recently arrived from New Zealand.

Two former Irvine forwards, Morne Strydom and Ruchin Filander, will be in the back
row, flanking GHA regular Jamie Pinder, and up front Donald Malcolm, the former
Scotland under-19 hooker, returns to the GHA colours after a sojourn north of the
Clyde with Glasgow Hawks.

Hutchesons’ Grammar School former pupil Scott Lang will make his debut on the left
wing.
