This week’s game away to Stewart’s Melville promises to be a thriller as GHA look to defend their play-off spot once and for all.

Following a frustrating loss at Selkirk last weekend and with a shot at promotion at stake, a win is crucial.

GHA are currently sitting just two points ahead of Stewart’s Melville and will be looking to return to their full potential in order to fend off the Inverleith side.

Having taken a win from Stewart’s Melville in a nail-biting 28-26 game back in September, GHA will be looking to build on their success wary of the fact that there has been very little space between the two sides in the table and in their performance throughout the season.

Head Coach Craig Sorbie admits there is some work to be done, but he is confident that they are more than capable, knowing that whoever walks away with the four points this weekend will most likely secure the coveted play-off spot.

“It’s not over just yet, this is by far one of the biggest games for us this season. We know it is going to be a tough game and it will be about making sure we prepare ourselves mentally as well as physically.

“Stewart’s Melville is a team full of excellent individual players and after last weekend we know what we need to do on Saturday to get the win.

“If we have the right attitude, stick to the game plan and trust each other that we can put it into action, we can win this game.”
