This Saturday Braidholm will host the rescheduled game against Jed-Forest following another disappointing weekend of waterlogged pitches resulting in a postponed visit from Hillhead/Jordanhill.

This week’s fixture takes place in the wake of an interesting turn of events at Stewart’s Melville on Saturday that saw GHA’s promotion spot rivals lose by just one point in their derby game against Watsonians, who themselves still have an outside chance of claiming the play-off spot.

This opens up the race for second place once again as GHA now sit only two points behind Stewart’s Melville with a game in hand. As our East Coast rivals head down to face Biggar this weekend, GHA will be looking to concentrate on securing a vital win against Jed-Forest.

Jed-Forest remain in 8th position in the table and have not had the most successful run of late but the Riverside Park side did take a 17-13 victory from GHA back in October and the home side will be looking to show Jed-Forest the true strength in their structures and plays in order to avoid a repeat of their last meeting and keep their winning streak intact and push forward in their bid for promotion.

Head Coach Craig Sorbie has previously described Jed-Forest as a team not to be underestimated and (weather permitting) this weekends game should prove to be a thriller.

Kick Off on Saturday is 3pm. Following the match we will be showing the Calcutta Cup clash between Scotland and England live on the big screen (KO for this game is 5pm). Our Food and drink special offers are also still running – £2 a pint, 2 course lunch for £9.95.
