GHA were semi finalists in their first 7s tournament of the year at Stirling County after succumbing to a try on the final whistle against Howe of Fife which put them out by a score of 24 to 19.
GHA were handed a tough draw on the day and came through a tricky opening fixture against Hillhead/Jordanhill by 21 to 7 in the first round before knocking out Boroughmuir in the quarters by 19 to 17 in a tense and physical game.
GHA led the semi final by 19 to 12 at half time but Howe of Fife edged it in another tense and physical encounter.
The result puts GHA third equal with Glasgow Hawks in the Legacy Series after one round. Next up is the Boroughmuir 7s on Friday night (26th April). GHA face Hawks in a 620pm kick off in their opening tie.
