GHA have been selected as one of the core teams on this season’s Legacy Sevens Series. The Legacy Sevens Series is part of Glasgow’s legacy programme for the 2014 Commonwealth Games. The series brings together established events across Scotland in Stirling, Fife, Edinburgh, Hamilton and culminates at the Glasgow City Sevens. The Glasgow City Sevens is one of the biggest 7s events in the country attracting over 1500 spectators annually and some of the most exciting 7s teams in the UK.

In 2012, GHA established themselves as one of the strongest club 7s sides in Scotland, winning the Glasgow City Sevens by beating professional sides the Glasgow Warriors, Samurai Scottish as well as 2012 Legacy Sevens champions Howe of Fife along the way.

As a core team in the 2013 Legacy Sevens Series, GHA will be competing in all 5 events.

GHA also host the annual Braidholm 7s, now firmly established as one of Scotland’s leading
tournaments attracting club, invitational and social sides from throughout the UK. GHA will again be competing at the Braidholm 7s and will be looking to go one better than last year where they finished as runner’s up.
