GHA’s preparations for next week’s title showdown at Cartha continued as they defeated National League Hamilton under the lights at Braidholm on Friday night. With the majority of the GHA 1stXV pack unavailable it was up to the GHA 2ndXV forwards, led by the outstanding Scott Carson on the night, to provide the platform for a victory which seemed unlikely after 15 minutes.
Hamilton scored 3 early tries to lead 19 to 0 but GHA came roaring back as their young pack got up to speed. The game was a hugely entertaining try fest with GHA’s forwards and backs working in tandem throughout.
Thoughts now move to next week’s game and title decider at Dumbreck. Kick Off is 3pm.
