GHA started this game at Braidholm in brisk fashion and it took them only 7 mins to open the scoring when Rory Watson crossed for a try which Jim Noonan converted to put them 7-0 ahead.

Things did not look good for Kelso at this stage as GHA were totally dominant and it required stout defending by Kelso to prevent the floodgates opening. Gradually however Kelso clawed their way back into the game and a Kevin Utterson penalty after 38 mins reduced the deficit and gave Kelso a bit of encouragement. GHA quickly responded and a second Jim Noonan penalty just on the stroke of half time made the score 10-3.

Kelso improved their performance greatly in the second half and it was no surprise when a second Kevin Utterson penalty after 62 mins reduced the deficit. Kelso continued to battle away and were just as likely as GHA to score. No further scores were forthcoming so the game finished with Kelso obtaining a hard earned losing Bonus point which may be vital in ensuring Prem 2 status at Poynder Park next season.
